2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, confirming a booking, or accepting a vehicle at handover, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driving licence to rent a vehicle from Junoroad.
These terms form the full agreement between you and Junoroad with respect to the rental of any vehicle. Earlier discussions or representations not included in the written booking confirmation are not binding.
3. Service Description
Junoroad provides MPV rental services to customers from our Kuantan, Pahang location. Available packages include day, weekend, and weekly touring arrangements as described on our website and in booking confirmations. Service availability is subject to fleet availability on the requested dates.
Vehicles may be used for travel within Peninsular Malaysia. Cross-border travel outside Malaysia is not permitted without prior written consent from Junoroad.
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 Licence and Identity Documents
At the time of vehicle collection, the customer must present:
- A valid Malaysian driving licence (or international driving permit for foreign nationals)
- A valid Malaysian IC (for citizens) or passport (for non-citizens)
Failure to present valid documents at the scheduled collection time may result in cancellation of the booking. Deposits paid may be subject to a processing deduction in such circumstances.
4.2 Vehicle Use
- The vehicle must be operated by the named customer only, unless an additional authorised driver has been agreed in writing
- The vehicle must not be used for hire or reward (e.g. ride-hailing services)
- The vehicle must not be driven under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances
- Off-road use is not permitted
- Smoking in the vehicle is not permitted; a cleaning surcharge applies if evidence of smoking is found at return
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal road use
4.3 Fuel
Vehicles are collected with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full fuel tank. The required fuel type will be communicated at handover. Customers returning a vehicle with less than a full tank will be charged for the difference.
5. Payment Terms
All pricing is in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Package prices are as listed on our website at the time of booking. A refundable security deposit is required at collection; the amount will be specified in the booking confirmation. Payment methods accepted include cash and bank transfer; specific details will be confirmed at booking.
5.1 Deposits
The security deposit will be refunded in full at vehicle return, subject to the vehicle being returned in the same condition as collected, with a full fuel tank, and at the agreed return time. Deductions may be made from the deposit to cover damage, fuel shortfall, or cleaning costs where applicable.
5.2 Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled collection time will receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation processing fee. Junoroad reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g. vehicle unavailability due to an accident); a full refund of any deposit paid will be issued in such cases.
6. Rental-Specific Terms
6.1 Late Return
The vehicle must be returned by the agreed return time specified in the booking confirmation. Late returns may incur an additional daily rate charge at Junoroad's then-current rate. Extensions must be requested and confirmed in writing prior to the original return time.
6.2 Accidents and Damage
In the event of an accident or vehicle damage during the rental period, the customer must notify Junoroad immediately and, where required by Malaysian law, report the incident to the Royal Malaysia Police. The customer is responsible for any damage not covered by the vehicle's comprehensive insurance, including any excess or exclusion under the policy.
6.3 Breakdown
In the event of a mechanical breakdown not caused by customer misuse, Junoroad will make reasonable efforts to assist. Customer-caused mechanical issues (including damage from misuse) are the customer's financial responsibility.
7. Disclaimers
Junoroad provides vehicles in roadworthy condition as confirmed by pre-rental inspection. We do not make representations regarding suitability for specific routes, weather conditions, or outcomes of travel. The customer assumes full responsibility for planning their journey and any decisions made during the rental period.
Route suggestions, where offered, are provided as general information only and do not constitute professional travel advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Junoroad's total liability to the customer shall not exceed the rental fee paid for the specific booking in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our vehicles or services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Force majeure: Junoroad is not liable for failure or delay in service delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, or government-imposed restrictions.
9. Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Junoroad and its staff from any claims, losses, costs, or liabilities arising from the customer's use of the vehicle, including use in breach of these Terms & Conditions or applicable Malaysian law.
10. Termination of Agreement
Junoroad may terminate the rental arrangement and require immediate return of the vehicle if the customer breaches a material term of this agreement, including using the vehicle for prohibited purposes, allowing unlicensed or unauthorised drivers to operate the vehicle, or causing serious damage. The customer forfeits the deposit in such circumstances. Terms relating to liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, design, and images, is the property of Junoroad or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of our website content without our prior written consent.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or related to these terms.
We encourage customers to contact us directly at [email protected] to resolve any concerns before pursuing formal proceedings. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes informally within 14 days of written notification.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the booking confirmation, constitute the full agreement between the parties.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right in the future.
- Assignment: The customer may not assign their rights under this agreement. Junoroad may do so where necessary for business operations.
- Notices: Formal notices should be sent in writing to the Kuantan address or to [email protected].
14. Changes to These Terms
